If you're looking to experience one of the most beautiful viewpoints in Betong District, you must take a trip to Suan Sud Siam, or the municipal public park of Betong. Especially in the evening, the cityscape of Betong begins to twinkle with the lights from homes, creating a perfect moment that you'll want to capture with your camera. This public park spans over 120 acres, surrounded by lush natural scenery. The construction and design of the park are carefully crafted to harmonize with the local topography. Once completed, it has become a beloved recreational space for the residents of Betong, offering a serene and picturesque atmosphere. The park features beautiful flower gardens, a pond teeming with various bird species, and a small playground for the little ones. Not far from the park, you’ll also find the Kanjanapisek Sports Center, known among the locals in Yala as the "Central Stadium in the Valley." This unique sports venue is distinguished by its elevated location, which is higher than most other sports fields in Thailand. Beyond the public park, after a 7-kilometer drive along Sukyang Road, you will arrive at the southernmost point of Thailand, where a road connects to Malaysia. This is the origin of the name “Suan Sud Siam,” providing a perfect complement to your leisurely days in Betong.
