The Center for Chinese Language Education and Development in Thailand and the region has been established through cooperation between the People's Republic of China and Mae Fah Luang University. This center was created to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the birth of Her Royal Highness Princess Srinagarindra, the Princess Mother, symbolizing the friendship between the two countries. In addition, this venue serves as a hub for cultural exchange between Thailand and China, characterized by its authentic Chinese architectural style. A central water garden modeled after the design of Suzhou adds an enchanting touch. The center was designed by architects from Sichuan Province, and all materials, including the roof tiles, decorative sculptures, and the marble lions at the entrance, were imported directly from China. Inside the building, there is an exhibition featuring photographs of Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn’s visit to China, as well as a library for those interested in further knowledge. The center is open daily from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with an entrance fee of 10 Baht. For more information, you can call 0 5391 7093 or 0 5391 7097, or visit www.mfu.ac.th.
