The City Pillar Shrine of Buriram is located in the district of Mueang Buriram, where the locals have great faith and come to pay their respects throughout the year during various occasions. Originally a small shrine, it was demolished and rebuilt between 2005 and 2007 in an architectural style inspired by the Phanom Rung sandstone temple, preserving the unique identity of Buriram in a clear and distinct way.
