A long-established bao shop, "Wikunpanit," has been serving its delicious buns for over 70 years. The shop was founded by a grandfather who migrated from mainland China to Thailand during World War II. Initially engaged in various trades, he eventually found his true calling in making bao with his own unique recipe. When the shop first opened in 1970, baos were priced between just 1 and 1.50 baht. Each bao is lovingly wrapped in banana leaves to prevent them from sticking together and then placed in a brown paper bag for easy carrying. Customers can choose from a wide variety of fillings, including minced pork, black bean, and cream. For those who aren't fans of baos, there are still plenty of other delicious options to try, such as zongzi and dim sum.
