Wat San Sai Mool, originally known as Wat Noi, was situated in a low-lying area that was prone to flooding every year and was far from the village, making it inconvenient for people to go there to make merit. Therefore, the villagers collectively decided to relocate the temple to its current location around 1827. It was initially named "Wat Saen Muang Mool," but later changed its name to "Wat San Sai Mool" in accordance with the village name.
