The pagoda of Wat Bang Thong, also known as Wat Mahathat Wachiramongkol, is renowned for its beauty and is a miniature replica of the Mahabodhi Temple in Bodh Gaya, located in southern Thailand. Visitors can pay their respects at the Great Relic Pagoda every day. The temple constructed the pagoda to honor the 50th anniversary of the reign of King Rama X. Standing at over 95 meters tall, it holds the status of the tallest pagoda in southern Thailand. In front of the temple, there is a small market where visitors can find local products and delicious food to enjoy a satisfying break. The spacious grounds also provide ample parking for visitors.
