Originally named "Wat Sa-an," it is believed to have been constructed in the year 1732 (B.E. 2275). The name was changed to Wat Phra Sri Ariyam in 1957 (B.E. 2500). Today, it is home to a stunning golden ubosot worth a hundred million, designed in the late Ayutthaya style. The walls are adorned with exquisite plaster carvings and mural paintings depicting the story of Phra Mahajanok and the Ten Birth Stories of the Five Kings.
