Inside the temple, there is an intriguing architectural feature known as the Sri Maha Bodhi Stupa. This stupa was constructed to commemorate the 2,500th anniversary of Buddhism. The Sri Maha Bodhi Stupa is modeled after the stupa in Bodh Gaya, India, which is the location that houses the relics of the Buddha.
