Wat Phra That Phanom Woramahawihan is a royal temple of the first class, classified as a woramahawihan. Currently, Phra Thep Woramon is the abbot, having served since 2006. The temple is located on the banks of the Mekong River, along Chayangkur Road, in Ban That Phanom, That Phanom District, Nakhon Phanom Province. It features a square brick stupa that measures 12.33 meters on each side and rises to a height of 53.6 meters. Surrounding the stupa are four layers of walls, and the stupa itself is situated on Phu Khamphra, an elevated earth mound roughly 3 meters above the surrounding ground. Within the temple grounds lies a large pond known as Bung That Phanom. Every year, during the full moon of the third month and the following night of the third month, an annual festival is held to pay homage to Phra That Phanom.
