Wat Pa Phurithat Patipadaram

Wat Pa Phurithat Patipadaram

Pathum Thani, Thailand.

Wat Pa Purithattapatharam, more commonly known as "Wat Pa Purithat," is a serene forest temple in the lineage of Luang Pu Mun. The temple grounds are remarkably tranquil and clean, even though it's situated far from populated areas. The lush greenery adds to its charm. A notable feature of this temple is the "Purithatt Chedi," an octagonal stupa designed to house the relics and remains of enlightened beings, offering a place for both deities and humans to pay their respects. Inside the stupa is the sacred tooth relic of Venerable Ajahn Mun. The chedi's shape resembles the traditional Sukhothai design, and its octagonal structure symbolizes the Noble Eightfold Path. You can park your vehicle around the chedi and spend the entire day meditating like others do. The interior of the chedi is cool and quiet, equipped with fans to ensure a comfortable meditation experience.
