Wat Tham Saeng Tham, located in Ban Phan Nam Tiang, Boriboon Sub-district, Sikhoraphum District, Khon Kaen Province, sits majestically along a steep cliff known locally as the Ruesi Mountain Range. The journey to the temple involves navigating through the sugarcane fields and rubber plantations of the local villagers. To reach the temple, visitors must ascend a challenging staircase of 238 steps. Upon arrival, one can participate in making merit by tossing coins into the "Bua Ngon" (or “Lotus Pond”), pay respects to the principal Buddha statue, offer monk’s alms, and seek blessings from the revered deity, Phu Ruesi Himalai Koti. For those who still have energy, an additional 242 steps will lead you to a stunning 360-degree view from the Dhamma Dome, where you can also pay homage at the footprints of the Buddha.
