This is a peaceful and clean place, perfect for practicing meditation and mindfulness. Who would have thought that inside the limestone mountain, standing 300 meters high, lies a cavernous chamber with stunning stalactites and stalagmites hidden away? Welcome to "Wat Phra That Charoen Tham" or "Bok Pla Cave." The cave features three interconnected chambers. The first is called the “Khuha Phra” - inside, one can find a large seated Buddha statue beautifully crafted in lacquer and gold leaf, depicting the Mara Victory posture from the Ayutthaya period. The second chamber is known as the "Thang Phra Rorng" and boasts exquisite stalactites and stalagmites. The third room is subdivided into smaller sections, showcasing a variety of formations resembling coral stone, which can be accessed during the dry season. Please note that the cave is closed on weekdays and opens on Saturdays and Sundays.
