Wat Klong Chao, commonly referred to by locals as Wat Mai Pak Klong Chao, is affiliated with the Maha Nikaya sect and was established in 1928. It received royal recognition and was granted its boundary in 1959. Today, Wat Klong Chao operates as a Buddhist study school and organizes Dharma talks for the public throughout the year. Visitors can pay their respects to Luang Por Tanjai, the largest statue in the eastern region, which is greatly revered by the residents of Chachoengsao province. Additionally, the temple houses the preserved body of a former abbot, which remains incorrupt within a glass enclosure.
