Located on Phu Kog Niew in Ban Tha Dee Mee, Pak Tom Subdistrict, the Great Buddha of Phu Kog Niew, or Phra Buddha Nuamindramongkol Leela Tawan Krapirak, is a large Buddha statue in the posture of blessing. Made entirely of a gold-colored fiber-reinforced resin, it stands at a height of 19 meters with a base width of 7.2 meters. Surrounding the statue, visitors can enjoy stunning views of the Mekong River, which serves as the natural border between Thailand and the Lao People's Democratic Republic. This area is particularly significant as it marks the first point where the Mekong enters Thai territory and the confluence of the Houay River with the Mekong. The Sky Walk is an impressive glass bridge completed in 2020, located in front of the Great Buddha. Rising approximately 80 meters above the Mekong River, it is equivalent in height to a 30-story building. The bridge features a 2-meter-wide glass walkway that stretches 80 meters long, providing expansive views of the surrounding landscape, including the point where the Houay River meets the Mekong.
