Monument of King Sri Suriyothai

The Monument of Queen Suriyothai is a memorial dedicated to the statue of Queen Suriyothai, a legendary heroine from the Ayutthaya period. It is located in the Thung Makham Yong area of Ban Mai Sub-district, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya District, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province, covering an area of approximately 250 rai. This memorial features a statue of Queen Suriyothai riding an elephant, alongside two warriors resembling prominent generals of that era, General Wimol Wongwanit and General Sunthorn Kongsompong. The monument is situated on an island in a water reservoir, which includes a replica of enemy camps and four enemy army divisions located to the northwest of the reservoir. This area encompasses around 180 rai and has a water capacity of about 1,000,000 cubic meters, complemented by a multipurpose building and a public park along the reservoir.
