The King Taksin Maharat Monument is located at the Wongwian Yai roundabout on Prachathipok Road. It features a statue of King Taksin on horseback, holding a sword in his right hand. The monument stands at a height of 9 meters from the horse's hooves to the top of the crown, with a concrete foundation that measures 8.90 meters high, 1.80 meters wide, and 3.90 meters long. On either side of the base, there are two relief sculptures depicting four historical scenes. These scenes include the sorrow and despair of people of all ages during the fall of the capital, King Taksin inspiring the citizens to unite and fight for their freedom, and the joyful celebration of the people's liberation after successfully reclaiming their independence. The monument was inaugurated on April 17, 1954, and a ceremonial homage is paid to the statue on December 28 of every year.
