It is one of the important ancient stupas in the northeastern region of Thailand. The stupa has a square shape at the top, resembling Phra That Phanom. Inside the stupa is the relic of Phra Ananda. The construction of this structure was influenced by Laotian art, which was popular during the late Ayutthaya period to the early Rattanakosin period, coinciding with the history of the establishment of the city and the history of Wat Maha That. The stupa features a square base, each side measuring 81 meters. It is built from brick and mortar, with a slender waist in the shape of an inverted lotus blossom. Rising above, there is the relic chamber with four arches, each housing a standing Buddha statue. At the top of the stupa, there is a small spire adorned on all four sides, while the central part is square and tapers, consisting of two levels. The construction style is similar to that of Phra That Kong Khao Noi. Additionally, the temple organizes a celebration every year in March to honor the relic of Phra Ananda.
