The Ta Khwai Temple is situated on a ridge approximately 10 meters above the cliff face of the Phanom Dong Rak mountain range. This temple, which features a cross-shaped layout, faces east. Its design includes a low base constructed from laterite, while the upper structures are entirely made from sandstone. The roof of the main sanctuary is crafted in the style of a prang, tapering upwards in five tiers, while the roof of the chapel is designed as a gable that touches the pediments on all four sides. Inside the room, there is a singular sculpture resembling the Shiva Lingam. Additionally, the area where Ta Khwai Temple is located faces unresolved territorial disputes, which have yet to be discussed by the border demarcation committee. Unlike the situation with Preah Vihear Temple, this issue has not received significant attention or calls for action. Consequently, there has been a mutual agreement between Thailand and Cambodia to use the site as a coordinating point, ensuring that both parties can prevent conflicts. This agreement has allowed the public to enjoy the beauty of Ta Khwai Temple, with visitors able to access it on foot via a one-kilometer trail. To facilitate tourism, the 2602 and 2606 Ranger battalions from the 26th Ranger Special Task Force and the Suranaree Task Force of the Second Army Area are deployed to oversee the area and ensure the safety and comfort of the tourists.
