The Uthakwi Phachara Watergate is located in Ban Bang Pi, Pak Phanang District, Nakhon Si Thammarat Province. It is part of the development project for the Pak Phanang River basin, initiated by the royal initiative of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej, aimed at alleviating the hardships faced by the local population in the Pak Phanang basin and surrounding areas. This project addresses various issues such as flooding, drought, saltwater intrusion, and the degradation of natural resources, while also enhancing and improving the quality of life for the residents comprehensively. In addition to its vital functions, the area boasts breathtaking surroundings, situated amid the Pak Phanang River. There is a bridge that facilitates crossing the river, allowing locals to easily travel between the banks. Moreover, a public park has been established here, providing a tranquil space ideal for relaxation and enjoying the scenic views.
