Bo Kluai Sin Thao, located in the sub-district of Bo Kluai Tai, is a renowned tourist destination in the Bo Kluai district of Nan province. This community has been engaged in salt production for generations, with locals extracting saltwater from underground wells, which then flows through bamboo pipes. The brine is boiled down to produce what is known as "mountain salt." The villagers not only use this salt for their own consumption but also package it into small bags for sale to tourists. Additionally, iodine is often added, making it safe for cooking and even for exfoliating the skin.
