Phrommin Minthe, the former headman of Mae Kam Pong village in Chiang Mai, is the visionary behind the establishment of Mae Kam Pong as an eco-tourism destination. His initiative began in 1996 when he took on the role of headman. Recognizing the village's potential for tourism, he wanted to promote sustainable travel, inspired by the natural resources available—the crisp air, lush forests, and the stunning seven-tiered "Mae Kam Pong Waterfall," which boasts a year-round flowing stream and inviting pools perfect for swimming.
