Another beautiful tourist destination is located in Doi Luang National Park, which boasts approximately 102 tiers of waterfalls, with 7 to 8 major levels. Upon reaching the highest tier of the waterfall, visitors will encounter the ethnic Yao village in Ban Pa Ka Luang and Ban San, accessible via a rather steep path. There is also a short nature trail stretching 1.4 kilometers nearby. Additionally, the area is home to Wang Thong Waterfall, which resembles Wang Kaew Waterfall and offers camping facilities. To reach this destination, start from Muang Lampang district and take the Lampang-Jaehom-Wang Nuea road for about 110 kilometers. Turn right at Wang Nuea district onto Highway 120, heading towards Phayao, then take a left onto Highway 1303 for approximately 25 kilometers until you reach the waterfall. The entire route is well-paved with asphalt. For those intending to visit Wang Thong Waterfall, you can enter from the main entrance leading to Wang Kaew Waterfall, but it’s about 9 kilometers before reaching that waterfall. Please note that the road leading to Wang Thong is quite challenging as it is unpaved. If traveling by public transport, you can take a blue songthaew (shared taxi) on the Lampang-Wang Nuea route and alight at the district office, then transfer to another vehicle to reach the waterfall.
