"Chom Sin Gin Kuay Tiew" is an ancient noodle shop in Chiang Rai that offers not only delicious food but also serves as a cafe gallery showcasing unique artworks! The restaurant's atmosphere features Lanna-style decor seamlessly blended with vintage elements, decorated with antique wood, Lanna flags, and art pieces displayed throughout the space. This creates a delightful experience of enjoying noodles while appreciating art at the same time. Importantly, this shop also provides opportunities for young artists from the university to display their work! Getting to the restaurant is very easy. It is located at San Khoang Luang in Mueang District, Chiang Rai. If coming from the traffic light intersection behind Chiang Rai Prachanukroh Hospital, just drive straight, pass the temple, and turn into the alley for a short distance, and you will find the restaurant. There is limited parking available in front of the restaurant, so you might need to park on the roadside. The highlight menu here features both dry and tom yum ancient noodles, with soft noodles and generous toppings, plus the roasted peanuts are specially done in-house, adding a delightful aroma. Additionally, there are other dishes like the ancient rice mixed with shrimp paste from Phatthalung and snacks like crispy fried dumplings and prawn crackers with a uniquely delicious dipping sauce. It is recommended to arrive before noon to avoid long waiting times! Visiting here guarantees that you will leave both full and happy with the art!
