The section of the wall on the western and northern sides, near Mahawong Road connecting to Anantaraworadej Road, was restored by the Fine Arts Department in 1993. A total of 415 meters of the dilapidated wall was preserved and it was officially registered as a national heritage site on October 25, 1994.
