The Dong Yai Wildlife Sanctuary is located within the Dong Yai National Forest Reserve, representing the last lush forest area in Buriram Province. The majority of the forest is classified as dry evergreen, hosting a wealth of economically valuable timber species. These include notable trees such as Teak, Rosewood, Padauk, Castanopsis, Rubberwood, Sala tree, and various types of hardwoods. In addition to these majestic trees, the sanctuary is also home to a diverse range of undergrowth flora and numerous species of orchids, including various ferns.
