Kaonan National Park covers the areas of Thasala, Sichon, and Nopphitam districts. This region is characterized by a complex range of high mountains extending from Khao Luang National Park, with the highest peak being Khao Nan Yai, standing at approximately 1,438 meters above sea level. The forest here consists of lush, humid tropical rainforest rich in various minerals such as tin, barite, and tungsten, and serves as a vital watershed for several streams. The entrance fee to the park is quite affordable: for Thai citizens, it's 40 Baht for adults and 20 Baht for children; for foreign visitors, it costs 200 Baht for adults and 100 Baht for children. The park offers accommodation options as well as camping sites for tourists. For more information, you can contact Kaonan National Park at 0 7580 9176 or 06 1134 3580, or visit their website at www.dnp.go.th. To get there, take Highway 401 to the Ban Klai intersection in Thasala district, near kilometer marker 110. Turn right towards Ban Pak Jao and proceed for 15 kilometers to the park office. Attractions within the park include the Sunanta Waterfall, which cascades in three tiers. The first tier is the tallest, plunging approximately 70 meters from a cliff into a pool below where visitors can enjoy swimming.
