This region is characterized by a complex range of high mountains extending from Khao Luang National Park, with the highest peak being Khao Nan Yai, standing at approximately 1,438 meters above sea level. The forest here consists of lush, humid tropical rainforest rich in various minerals such as tin, barite, and tungsten, and serves as a vital watershed for several streams.
