The Allied War Cemetery at Khao Pun, also known as the Chicken Hole Cemetery, was once the site of a large prisoner of war camp. It is located along the banks of the Khwae Noi River on the eastern side, in the Nong Ya sub-district of Muang District, Kanchanaburi. The cemetery is about 2 kilometers from the city center of Kanchanaburi and is smaller than the Kanchanaburi Cemetery, covering an area of approximately 7 rai. It contains the graves of 1,750 prisoners of war, the majority of whom were British soldiers. The Allied War Cemetery at Chicken Hole is open for tourists and visitors to explore every day.
