The Rayong Botanical Garden, under the Botanical Organization of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, is an eastern branch of the Queen Sirikit Botanical Garden located in Chiang Mai. It is situated in the area of Bueng Santhakha, also known as Nong Jamrung, in the Chakphong Subdistrict of Klaeng District, Rayong Province. The garden spans approximately 3,800 acres. In 2002, the local government and community members agreed to allow the organization to manage about 1,193 acres of this area initially. The aim was to develop a center for eastern plant species, making it a natural learning hub and a resource for educating the local community and visitors alike about the rich biodiversity of the region.
