In 1977, a Thai of Chinese descent named Mr. Tee, along with his disciples who respected Luang Por Sothorn, gathered funds to cast a statue of Luang Por Sothorn. This was intended to serve as a place of reverence for the local community and the general public. Alongside this, they also cast four other statues of his brothers: Luang Por Wat Ban Laem, Luang Por Wat Rai Kheng, Luang Por To, and Luang Por Oh Phasi. The casting ceremony was held at house number 15/3, Moo 2, Tambon Lam Phak Kut, in Thanyaburi District, Pathum Thani Province. Once the five statues were completed, Mr. Tee and his disciples pooled their resources to build a hall. The following year, in 1978, they constructed a wooden hall entirely out of redwood, where the five statues would be enshrined, naming it "Wat Khlong 8 Hall."
