Wat Chotikarama (Sam Jinn) is located in Bang Phai Subdistrict, Mueang Nonthaburi District, Nonthaburi Province. Originally named "Wat Sam Jinn," it was founded by three Chinese brothers in 1807. Later, Phra Chao Phraya Choduk Ratchaseithi undertook restoration and construction efforts. The temple received royal permission for its boundary marking on December 5, 1917. Inside the temple, the ubosot (ordination hall) is constructed from brick and cement, reaching a height of about a chicken's neck. It does not feature the traditional gable roof with decorative tiles; instead, this type of structure is often referred to as "Vilànda Style." At the front, a palai (pediment) protrudes, adorned with intricate reliefs depicting the Phuritaj Story (a narrative illustrating merit cultivation amidst floral and tree motifs). Beautifully enhanced with ceramic wares, even the niches feature stunning pottery. This style likely reflects the royal preferences common during the reign of King Rama III.
