Wat Thepsorn Thamaram was originally a meditation center called Bay Tuk Chea, established on January 10, 2012. It received royal permission for its ecclesiastical boundary on February 25, 2020. The name "Bay Tuk Chea" is derived from Khmer, a phrase often uttered by Luang Pu Suang as a blessing. In Khmer, "Bay" means rice, "Tuk" means water, and "Chea" means good. Therefore, "Bay Tuk Chea" translates to "good rice and water."
