Wat Khao Angkhan

Wat Khao Angkhan

Chaloem Phra Kiat District, Buriram Province.

It is believed to have been constructed during the same era as the Phanom Rung Stone Castle. Inside the temple, there is a three-tiered assembly hall that creatively integrates architectural elements from various periods, creating a uniquely beautiful appearance. Within the assembly hall, there are stunning murals and depictions of Buddhist Jataka tales presented in English. Additionally, there are 15 pieces of boundary markers from the Dvaravati period made of basalt, which is remarkable since basalt boundary markers have never been found in Thailand before.

Province: Buri Ram
