Bang Phra Worawihan Temple is located in Moo 2, Bang Phra Sub-district, Si Racha District, Chonburi Province. According to the historical records of the temple written by Phra Kru Worakam Khunaporn, a former abbot of Bang Phra Worawihan Temple, this temple has been an important Buddhist community since ancient times, likely established during the Rattanakosin period or even during the Ayutthaya era when it served as the capital. It has played a significant role as the center of the Bang Phra community, where nearly all male residents of Bang Phra, upon reaching the appropriate age, choose to ordain at this temple.
