Wat Suang Men is located 10 kilometers from the city center of Phrae, right next to the main road. Inside the temple, you will find many valuable ancient artifacts that are truly fascinating. These include intricately carved wooden Buddha statues, removable Buddha images, the chedi of Wat Suang Men, the Tripitaka in both Thai and Pali, and the most complete palm-leaf manuscript collection in Thailand. The temple complex consists of several religious structures, including an ancient Ubosot (ordination hall) showcasing Lanna-style architecture, which is believed to be at least 200 years old. Its structure exemplifies traditional Lanna design, while the intricate patterns blend local Lanna art with Burmese influences. Additionally, one of the significant traditions of this temple is the "Tak Tham Tan Khao Mai Hing Fai Phrajao," held every January. If you're interested and haven’t heard of it before, feel free to drop by and explore this beautiful place!
