Wat Sali Khophitaram was established on July 25, 1856, by two sisters, Lady Boonmee and Lady Boonma, who shared a vision to create a temple. Their heartfelt prayers were answered, leading them to donate the land for this sacred place, originally named Wat Sali Ko, meaning "abundant rice." Over time, the name was extended to Wat Sali Khophitaram. Today, the temple complex includes several notable structures. The main ordination hall, built in 1971, is a reinforced concrete building. The prayer hall, completed in 1992, features a beautiful Thai architectural style. A two-story meditation hall, constructed in 1975, combines concrete and wooden elements. The monks' quarters are primarily wooden with some reinforced concrete components. In 2000, a multipurpose hall was added, also made of reinforced concrete. Additionally, there is a merit-making hall built from concrete and wood. The temple houses significant objects of worship, including the principal Buddha image in the ordination hall, known as the "Mara Victory" posture, created in 1972. The prayer hall features its own Mara Victory image from 1993. Other revered images include Luang Por Kham, Luang Por Silalang, a bronze statue of Luang Pu Phuak, Luang Por Jampa, Phra Buddha Chinnarat, Phra Buddha Sothorn, Luang Pu Toad, a replica of Buddha's footprint, and Phra Maha Brahma.
