This temple is located in the lowlands of the Chao Phraya River, where the Mon people reside. It is home to Phra Khru Thamwarayan, affectionately known by the locals as "Luang Pu Boontham Yanawaro," an esteemed Buddhist monk of Mon descent from Samakkhiaram Temple in Sam Khok District, Pathum Thani. At the age of 93 and with 70 years of ordination, he and his family migrated from the town of Mawlamyine and settled in the Sam Khok area, engaging in regular boat trading activities between Nakhon Sawan and Pathum Thani. He has been instrumental in the construction and restoration of deteriorating structures within the temple, working diligently to restore them to their former glory, making the temple a more beautiful and welcoming place for residents and visitors alike.
