If you're looking to enhance your life's blessings, don't miss the opportunity to walk beneath the sacred ubosot at Wat Sangkhakham, the first temple in Thailand to elevate its ubosot. This unique structure was created in response to the annual flooding that occurs every July and October, when the Prachinburi River can rise about one meter, making it challenging for the monks to perform their rituals on the ground. Consequently, the base of the ubosot was raised to a height of 1.59 meters. While restoration work was underway, many visitors flocked to pass under the ubosot, each person silently praying for relief from ailments and for various fortunes, all of which were fulfilled. The sanctity of this ubosot has since become widely recognized, leading people from all directions to continually seek blessings beneath its archway. Many also take time to pay homage by gilding the statue of Luang Pu Phio (Phra Khru Silawisutthacharn), a former abbot, in hopes of receiving blessings and enhancing their fortunes.
