Ratnaya Buddhist Temple (Nong Phak Chi)

42 Soi Phahonyothin 52, Khlong Thon Sub-district, Sai Mai District

The old temple in the community was built in 1897. Initially, the locals referred to it as Wat Nong Phak Chi because the site where the temple was established featured a wide and deep marsh, which they called Nong Phak Chi Marsh. The temple took its name from the geographical characteristics of the area. Visitors come here to pay respects and make wishes at the revered Luang Por Sung, a sacred statue of the Buddha in the Subduing Mara posture, showcasing the artistry of the Chiang Saen period. Known as Luang Por Dam, the temple offers ample parking facilities, making it a convenient spot for travelers.
