Wat Bua Krok Luang is a small temple that was originally named Wat Mueang Kham. The exact history of its construction is unclear, but it is believed that the main hall was built around the reign of King Rama V. The interior walls of the hall depict stories from the Buddha's life and reflect the traditions of the Tai Yai people. The remarkable feature of this temple lies in the beautiful murals that adorn its walls.

จุดเด่นอยู่ที่ภาพจิตรกรรมฝาผนังในวิหารวัดบวกครกหลวง ซึ่งเขียนเรื่องราวพุทธประวัติและชาดกในนิบาตหรือ เรื่องทศชาติชาดก จำนวน 14 ห้อง จิตรกรรมฝาผนังนี้เขียนบนผนังรอบ ๆ วิหารระหว่างช่องเสาเป็นเรื่องพุทธประวัติและชาดก ภาพแต่ละส่วนจะอยู่ในกรอบซึ่งเขียนเป็นลายล้อมกรอบด้วยลายสีน้ำเงิน แดง และขาว สำหรับเรื่องที่เขียนนั้นทางทิศเหนือเป็นภาพชาดก เรื่องมโหสถชาดก ส่วนทางทิศใต้เป็นเรื่องทศชาติชาดก (พระเจ้าสิบชาติ)
