Wat Buak Krok Noi was established in the year 1802, as evidenced by inscriptions found in ancient palm leaf manuscripts. It has been known by four different names over time, reflecting the changing environmental conditions and historical events. These names are: 1. Wat Hua Dong, 2. Wat Buak Krok Noi, 3. Wat Buak Krok Rim Khao, and 4. Wat Buak Krok Plai Rang.
