Wat Don Yai

Lam Luk Ka District

Wat Don Yai in Pathum Thani is renowned for its beautiful ordination hall and the majestic Luang Por Khao. Within the temple, there are numerous sacred statues for visitors to pay their respects. Spanning over 20 rai, this spacious temple serves as a significant Buddhist tourism attraction in Pathum Thani. The journey here is convenient, as it is located along the Rangsit-Nakhon Nayok road, around Klong 8. The highlight of Wat Don Yai is its silver ordination hall, the only one of its kind in Pathum Thani. This hall, built in a four-angled style, reflects the teachings of the Buddha and embodies the teachings of His disciples. The hall's serene white and silver colors symbolize purity, while the lotus petals surrounding it are adorned in gold. Given its location in Pathum Thani, this unique hall is aptly named “The Silver Ordination Hall of Pathum Thani.”
