Wat Don Mool is the local temple of Don Mool subdistrict, home to the revered sacred Buddha statue, Luang Por Somnuek, who is deeply respected by the people of Don Mool. Each year, the temple hosts an annual gold-leaf application ceremony for Luang Por Somnuek during the month of April. Additionally, it serves as the 12th meditation center in Phrae Province, under the Mahayana tradition.
