Located along Khao Phitak Road, just 200 meters from the Kantang Municipality office, stands a significant historical site: the "Old Governor's Residence of Trang," formerly the home of Phaya Ratchadanupadith Mahitsaraphakdi, the former governor of Trang. This two-story wooden house features wax figures of Phaya Ratchada and displays various personal artifacts from his daily life, preserved by the descendants of the Na Ranong family. The people of Kantang, along with the local municipality, recognize this house as an important historical landmark worthy of preservation for future generations in Trang. They envisioned transforming it into a museum dedicated to the biography and contributions of Phaya Ratchada, facilitating education and remembrance among the residents. On September 10, 1992, permission was granted to use the former governor’s residence as a memorial site honoring Phaya Ratchada's legacy, and it was officially established as a museum named the "Museum of Phaya Ratchadanupadith Mahitsaraphakdi (Kozimbee Na Ranong)." The museum is open for visitors from Tuesday to Sunday (closed on Mondays) from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM, free of charge.
