Kok Muang village is a community dedicated to silk production, showcasing the entire process of weaving. It also offers products made from straw mats, including the unique "Prasat Muang Tam" patterned mats, which can only be found in Thailand, available for purchase at the OTOP product center. The community began as a women's development group in Moo 9 Kok Muang, and by 2002, it evolved into the Thai Silk Weaving Group, which features local weaving activities. The Kok Muang homestay has received the Thai Homestay Standard certification for the years 2012 to 2014, providing visitors with an authentic experience of local life. The village is home to diverse occupational groups, such as straw mat weavers, silk weavers, and knitters, and it was selected as one of the top 80 OTOP Village Champions in 2006, recognized for its cultural tourism. This village houses the historical Prasat Muang Tam temple and has developed local resources into nationally recognized souvenirs, including the intricately woven silk known as "Pak Kud Silk," a time-honored craft passed down through generations. Additionally, the village produces beautiful straw mat products that rival those of any other region. Situated next to the Prasat Muang Tam, Kok Muang village is an important travel destination in Buriram.
