"Krua Lung Chao" is a local Thai restaurant beloved by locals and avid tourists in Pattaya, Chonburi, which recently received the Bib Gourmand award from the Michelin Guide 2025. The atmosphere of the restaurant is simple and relaxed, with a homey style that provides a warm feeling as if you’re dining at a friend's house. Even though it is not a luxurious restaurant, it offers spacious areas and you can also observe turtles. Getting to Krua Lung Chao might be a bit outside of downtown Pattaya, about 20 kilometers away, situated in Nong Maikhaen, Banglamung District, Chonburi. Anyone planning to visit should allocate enough time and plan their journey well because the restaurant can get crowded around lunchtime, and you might need to park on the road. Overall, Krua Lung Chao focuses on authentic Thai dishes with bold flavors and fresh natural ingredients, particularly seafood and wild food. Must-try dishes include stir-fried squid in black sauce, fried cowfish with fish sauce, coconut shoot curry, and spicy soup with grouper head. The prices are friendly, starting from around 80 to 300 baht, making it very worthwhile for the quality you get, but since the restaurant prepares meals one table at a time and cooks everything fresh, you might have to wait a little. The restaurant is open every day from 10:30 AM to 7:00 PM, and anyone visiting Pattaya should definitely give it a try!
