Located in the Tambon Maba, this village is renowned for its weaving craftsmanship, making it one of the prominent OTOP (One Tambon One Product) villages in Roi Et province. It serves as a hub for the sale and distribution of local handicrafts, including bags, cotton fabrics, and ready-made garments. The initiative arose from a community effort to generate supplementary income during the off-season of rice farming. The unique designs produced here reflect the rich cultural heritage of Roi Et, with patterns like the "Seven Lanterns," which symbolize prosperity and well-being, "Nakhon Noi," representing abundance and timely rains, and "Kong Eaw," which illustrates the essential waterways vital to agricultural livelihoods. Today, Baan Wai Lum has evolved into a homestay village, offering accommodations for travelers seeking to experience the local lifestyle and culture firsthand. Visitors can immerse themselves in the traditions and daily lives of the locals while enjoying a natural retreat. The village also features shops selling handicrafts, particularly the exquisite silk products from Baan Wai Lum, providing an additional income source for residents. Moreover, a variety of local products are available for purchase, such as woven crafts, organic vegetables, and souvenirs. For more information, please call 08 6871 4886.
