When sacrifice for one's homeland is considered a great heroism worthy of recognition, this memorial was established to honor the valor of soldiers, police, and civilians who gave their lives in battle to preserve sovereignty in the border areas of Phayao and Chiang Rai provinces. Additionally, there is a museum that displays photographs, replicas, and military equipment that were used in those significant battles.
