Prince Mahasamanajao Krom Wachiiranannavoros (the 10th Supreme Patriarch of the Rattanakosin Kingdom) visited Wat Prasat to admire its beauty and pay homage to the Buddha statues in the temple. The chapel and hall of this temple are unique as they lack walls, adding to its charm. Inside, apart from the main Buddha images, there are several ancient figures, both seated and standing, measuring between three to four cubits tall. In addition to those in the chapel and hall, many Buddha images can be found scattered among the stupas and piles of brick and mortar, with eight heads remaining visible. The nearby village is densely populated, prompting the prince to generously contribute his own funds for construction. Later, a museum was established on the premises as part of the temple’s development.
